Wizkid got a special delivery of his Grammy Award statuette from the Recording Academy today, and the internet has gone wild about it. In March this year, the superstar musician won the award for Best Award Video for his 2020 hit collaboration with Beyoncé and Blue Ivy, "Brown Skin Girl". However, since he was only credited as a songwriter, many Nigerians thought he would not receive a plaque. On the other hand, Burna Boy was celebrated for singlehandedly scoring the Best Global Music Album award for his album, "Twice As Tall", and the "Ye" singer received his award two weeks ago. The news of Wizkid receiving his Grammy shot his name up the trends on Twitter on Wednesday. Specifically, Nigerian tweeps called out Seun Kuti for allegedly suggesting that the "Joro" crooner does not deserve a Grammy.

While Nigerians celebrated Wizkid's new achievement, his manager, Jada Pollock, called out Dr Fab for posting the singer's award when he [Fab] was asked to deliver it. "Some people in life honestly have no respect & integrity. Why would you be asked to deliver something and then take it upon yourself to open the box & post it? Where is the respect! But have your moment, likes and comments. Just know this wasn’t COOL!" she tweeted.
Jada might have shot herself in the foot by making that statement as Nigerians instead sided with Dr Fab, with some stating that he was only excited.
Thank you @tufab you are a legend. Don't let this outsider guilt trip you. She doesn't know what this means to us. She had 4 years to post wizkid Billboard awards and we are still yet to see it, she might have kept the Grammy in a corner if you didn't force their hands.
