The announcement, first reported by WABetaInfo in September 2021, revealed that some Android, KaiOS, and iOS phones with versions less than 4.1 will be unable to access WhatsApp soon.
It was later broadcasted to the public that phones ranging from iPhone, LG, Samsung, Huawei, etc., with versions less than 4.1 will stop receiving support from WhatsApp by November 1, 2021. After this date, millions of phones with old models of smartphones will be blocked.
WhatsApp also advised owners of phones in this category to update their devices as soon as possible to avoid getting disconnected from its services.
