'Nnamdi Kanu may have been killed' - IPOB

The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, have alleged that the Department of State Services (DSS) may have killed their leader, Nnamdi Kanu.

Punch newspaper earlier reported that Nnamdi Kanu was absent at his trial at the Federal High Court Abuja. Justice Binta Nyako, therefore, adjourned the trial till October 21, 2021.

The news of Kanu's mysterious absence has led to some numbers of unfounded speculations.

Emma Powerful, a member of IPOB, has alleged that Kanu may no longer be alive. He lamented that the group is no longer comfortable with the current flow of things.

He lamented, "With the failure of DSS to produce our leader in court today without any cogent reason and coupled with the torture meted out to him since his abduction in Kenya, we are worried about the safety of our Leader."

According to him, Kanu's absence shows that the FG may be playing games.

He said, "We are no longer comfortable with this development. We have enough grounds to suspect foul play."

He accused DSS of failing to grant their leader access to good medical care despite his bad health.

He, therefore, alleged that Kanu may have been killed.

“Considering his deteriorating health condition since he was kidnapped and the refusal of DSS to grant him access to his personal physicians, it is possible that our Leader may have been killed.”

However, DSS told the court that Nnamdi Kanu was not produced because of a logistics problem.

The trial is expected to continue by October 21, 2021.
