Met Gala 2021: What To Expect At The ‘In America: A Lexicon of Fashion’ Themed Show

The biggest legendary fashion fundraising night has returned as this year’s Met Gala is scheduled for tomorrow, September 13, 2021. It's important to note that all attendees must be vaccinated and masked up to attend this year's gala, unlike past times.

And as against the “Camp” theme of 2019, Met Gala 2021 is tagged "In America: A Lexicon of Fashion" with a focus on American designers and fashion history. It is more fascinating because this year's gala has two parts, with the first, themed "In America: A Lexicon of Fashion", taking place at the Anna Wintour Costume Center and the second, tagged "In America: An Anthology of Fashion", debuting on the 5th of May, 2022.

This fashion spectacle started in 1948 and has since showcased the biggest and most famous brands and names in the fashion, art and music industries. The Met Gala happens every year at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York. Usually, the newest exhibitions are showcased to display the interpretations of the annual theme and funds are raised to support the Met's Costume Institute.

Your hosts to take you on this fashion journey would include renowned actor Timothée Chalamet, American poet Amanda Gorman, music star Billie Eilish, and tennis player Naomi Osaka. With these hosts, it's definitely going to be exciting.

By now, you should know that attendees are usually unknown until the day of the event. However, be rest assured that prominent personalities are going to awe you at the gala.
