'I Auditioned For BBNaija Because I Was Broke' – Liquorose reveals

Ex-Big Brother Naija housemate and 6th season runner-up for the 2021 BBNaija "Shine Ya Eye" edition has opened up on the main reason why she participated in the reality show.

Roseline Afije, popularly known by her nickname – Liquorose, revealed during an exclusive interview with Abisola Alawode that her main motive for participating in the renowned BBNaija show was because she had financial struggles.

Liquorose, a popular dancer with a massive followers base of 1.6 million on Instagram, claimed that those speculating that she went to the Big Brother house just to have some fun or just simply to get away from some people had no idea it was because she was broke.

This translates to the fact that despite her appearance in multiple music videos of famous artists and having a huge followers base, none of that brought her a big pay or steady income.

In reply to the interviewer's question on why she participated in the reality show, she said: "I had financial issues. People don't see that, people don't know that. They just see that 'oh' she has over 700k followers, what's she going to look for in the Big Brother Naija house?"

Additionally, she said she needed to find a way to make ends meet and be financially secured.

Also, towards the end of the interview, she confirmed that even though she has an all-around personality, she prefers to be a tomboy most times.

Since her exit from the house, we're sure she's been able to accomplish her mission, as she had bagged several deals with notable brands and received gifts, as well as cash from her loving fans. We wish her all the best in life!
