Early life, Background & Education
Despite growing fame in Lagos State, what many aren't aware of is his origin. Burna Boy is originally from a small town called Ahoada, in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria. He was born to the family of Samuel and Bosede Ogulu. His father was popular for managing a welding company, while his mother worked as a translator for the Federation of West African Chambers of Commerce.
He is the eldest of his two siblings, of which the other two are girls, making him the only son in the family.

Controversies
It's no longer news that Burna Boy is a controversial figure in the Nigerian and African entertainment industry. His outspoken views once made him feud with South African rapper – AKA, over his anti-Nigerian tweets.
In July 2019, when South Africa lost to Nigeria at the Africa Cup of Nations (A.F.C.O.N.), Burna Boy made headlines in Nigeria and South Africa on his controversial and demeaning tweets to South Africa.
Also, ever since Burna Boy and Davido engaged in a vendetta on Instagram, on November 28, 2019, Burna Boy was involved in an altercation with the '30BG' boss – Davido, after the two were invited to a club in Accra, Ghana, for simply chills.
