The Chairman of Cubana group, Obi Iyiegbu, is reportedly set to empower 300 Oba youths with 300 million Naira.
News and videos circulating online have it that the socialite made the declaration on Sunday evening at Oba. The money would be channelled towards setting up businesses for the Oba youths.
Recall that the burial took place at Oba town of Anambra. This may be the millionaire style of saying goodbye to the youths and shutting up his critics.
Meanwhile, the burial of Obi Cubana's mother has left many people mouth agape as extravagant spendings were witnessed at the ceremony, not to mention that the price of the coffin used was rumoured to be worth N30 million.
Donations made by friends and family were estimated to be hundreds of millions of Naira.
And that's not all.
People could be seen spraying and stoning one another money. One may say it rained cash at the burial.
While many have praised Obi Cubana for giving his mother a befitting burial, others have tagged his extravagant spending as unnecessary and as a bad example for the country's youths.
One of the critiques, Deji Adeyanju, warned that Obi Cubana may end up like Hushpuppi.
Notable people who attended the occasion include Kanayo O. Kanayo, Akin Alabi, Cubana Chiefpriest, Zubby Michael, and Abba Kyari.
