Tonto Dikeh and Iyabo Ojo have angrily expressed dissatisfaction in their colleague’s new movie, Oko Iyabo, which mirrored the ongoing case of Baba Ijesha assaulting a minor.
While expressing her disappointment in Fabiyi, King Tonto, in an Instagram post, said she hoped that a part of the constitution that would "fight the bully" -- Yomi Fabiyi -- exists. She accused the movie director of capitalizing on the pain and agony of the molested child and described the act as a slap on motherhood. In a later post, Tonto called on her fans and Nigerians to report the movie on Youtube.
Iyabo Ojo also released a lengthy statement describing Fabiyi's film as a work of art that teaches children "that it is right to have a relationship with an adult". In the wake of Baba Ijesha's rape case, several prominent actors, including Nkechi blessing, took sides with the young girl allegedly assaulted. However, Yomi Fabiyi sided with the accused.

'Oko Iyabo' movie removed for peace, says Yomi Fabiyi
After facing an intense backlash, Yomi Fabiyi announced in an Instagram video that he has put the 'Oko Iyabo' movie on private. "If you cannot see the movie 'Oko Iyabo', it's because we kept it on private for peace to reign", the actor said. The movie producer's words came as the Theatre Arts and Motion Picture Practitioners' Association of Nigerian summoned him to "appear before it on Thursday". In a statement signed by the TAMPAN's director of research and documentation, Yemi Amodu, the movie body said Fabiyi's film sparked off a controversy that "is against our ethic and virtue". Although checks by HotNaija show that the film has indeed been set to private by the original uploader, reuploads still exist on Youtube.
