Mary Daniel recently received donations of N25 million and has acquired a house worth N17.5 million.
Back in April, Punch Newspapers published a video showing the sorry state of an amputee, Mary Daniel. In the six-minute Youtube video, Mary could be seen hawking cold sachet water under the scorching Nigerian sun.
Her story drew helpers from Nigeria and abroad, and she received donations totalling 25 million Naira. However, that may not be the last we may be hearing from the lady.
Now, the new millionaire has reportedly acquired properties worth N17.5 million in Lagos.
According to a new report by Punch, Daniel has purchased a house in Igando, Lagos. The 27-year-old is also constructing a pure water factory in Lagos.
Daniel, who hails from Kogi State, wants to run her pure water business on a large scale. The story of her transformation only proves how powerful social media can be.
Although news once circulated that the Lagos State Government had seized her money because she faked her condition, LASG debunked the claims, saying they never touched the lady's money.
The government said that all they had done was protect the beneficiary and make sure she remains unmolested by preying eyes.
