Following a brief delay on launching, Drake has started to unravel some of the features on his highly anticipated album titled "Certified Lover Boy". This much-awaited project was supposed to be launched in January but was delayed to ensure Drake's full recovery from recent knee surgery.
The unravelling began with several billboard announcements of featured artists such as Future, Lil Baby, Young Thug, Giveon, 21 Savage, Lil Durk and Ty Dolla $ign.
And guess who made the list of featured artists? Temilade Openiyi. Popularly known as Tems, she was born on June 11, 1995, in Lagos, Nigeria.
The works of the "Try Me" crooner speak volumes of her excellence since the release of her "Mr Rebel" in 2018, which was closely followed by "Try Me" in 2019. Tems did not stop with that as "Damages" became another hit with approximately 2.7 million views on YouTube.
Tems kept churning out hits back-to-back, and since then, she appeared to have become unstoppable, as seen in her collaborative work with Wizkid on the song "Essence" in 2020. This collaboration alone placed her on the BBC 1Xtra Airplay Chart, coupled with her first entry on Billboard Hot 100.
Billboard adverts have equally been put up in the cities of other featured artists alongside Tems. Hers reads, “Hey, Nigeria Tems is on CLB". The album, slated for release on the 3rd of September 2021, stands as another impressive feat attained by the Nigerian sonorous singer known for top-notch performances. This definitely cannot go unacknowledged as it represents a job well done for one of our own.
