Wizkid's 'Essence' Featuring Tems Certified Gold In the USA

Wizkid's summer heat "Essence" featuring Tems has officially become gold-certified in the United States. The song achieved the feat on Wednesday after successfully selling 500,000 units, according to the RIAA. 'Essence' has continuously caught the attention of American superstars. The deluxe version of the singer's "Made In Lagos" album included a Justin Bieber remix of the song. Additionally, Dababy recently dropped a rap version of "Essence" on his YouTube page.

For Wizkid, this is not the first time his song would be gold certified. The 31-year-old singer became the first African artist to be certified gold as a lead and featured artist, thanks to the success of "Come Closer" featuring Drake.
