Another Nigerian Pastor, Stephen Akinola, Dies Few Hours After T.B. Joshua

While Nigerians were still trying to grapple with the fact that Prophet T.B. Joshua had passed on, news of another Pastor's death came in. The general overseer of Redemption ministries, Stephen Akinola, died in the early hours of Sunday morning, hours after family sources revealed that pastor Joshua had given up the ghost. Although Akinola recently underwent a kidney transplant, the cause of his death remains unknown, as an autopsy has not been performed.

While several Nigerians have described Akinola's death as "a sign of rapture," others see it as "God taking the saints out of a sinful world." Reverend Stephen's Redemption Ministries is headquartered in Portharcourt, Rivers State.
