The founder and general overseer of The Synagogue Church of All Nations, Prophet T.B Joshua, is dead. According to family sources who spoke to People's Gazette on the condition of anonymity, the pastor died on "Saturday evening shortly after concluding a program at his church." Sources close to the deceased also confirmed his death to HotNaija, saying he died on the way to the hospital after suddenly falling sick. Subsequently, his remains were transported to the mortuary, pending the time an autopsy will be performed.
The televangelist had preached during the day and showed no sign of illness, and his death has sent shock waves through his church. The death of the prophet comes just a few days after he announced that he would not be celebrating his 58th birthday publicly. Born on June 12, 1963, T.B Joshua founded the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) in 1987. His Youtube channel, Emmanuel TV, which had more than a million subscribers, was terminated by Youtube for spreading hate speech. Similarly, Pastor E.A. Adeboye lost his son, Dare Adeboye, in May.
T.B. Joshua Ministries, while confirming the development on its official Facebook page, said "Prophet TB Joshua leaves a legacy of service and sacrifice to God’s Kingdom that is living for generations yet unborn." He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Joshua, and three daughters.
