Brouhaha as five-horned ram is spotted in Lagos market

A five-horned ram was spotted at a Lagos market ahead of the Eid al-Adha celebration.

It's a norm for Muslims across the Nation to celebrate Eid al-Adha, popularly known in the country as "Sallah", with loads of food and ram meat.

Ram slaughtering symbolizes Allah's intervention with a ram when the Quranic Ibrahim was willing to sacrifice his son for Allah's sake. Eid al-Adha is centred around this incident.

Muslims, therefore, flock to their respective local markets to obtain rams.

Eid al-Adha ram shoppers were left in awe after spotting a ram with five horns at a market in Lagos.

The weird-looking ram had people talking and wondering what could be the possible cause of such a mutation.

A man who couldn't fathom how such a ram came into existence admitted that "God is wonderful".

Below are some of the ram's photos.

Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari has felicitated with all Muslims across the country ahead of the Eid al-Adha celebration.

He admonished traders to abstain from exploiting fellow citizens with outrageous prices of food and rams.

Buhari stressed that believers should not seek happiness at the expense of others, adding that Islam is a religion of peace and love.

The president also spoke on the state of security in the country. He reassured Nigerians that his government is taking necessary measures to address the security challenges facing the Nation.

"Let me also use this opportunity to reassure Nigerians that we are taking measures to address our security challenges," he said. "We have started taking delivery of fighter aircraft and other necessary military equipment and hardware to improve the capacity of our security forces to confront terrorism and banditry."

Furthermore, he urged all Muslims to live peacefully and in harmony with others. And while celebrating Eid al-Adha, they shouldn't forget to pray for the progress of Nigeria "at all times".
