Top Nigerian Pastors snub T.B. Joshua's burial ceremony

T.B. Joshua was laid to rest on Friday 9th July at his church premises. However, many top Nigerian Pastors were absent and not represented.

Founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, Prophet Temitope Joshua, lost his life on June 5th, just a few days before his birthday. The sad news shook the Nigerian Christian community and Christian communities around the world as well.

The ceremony for his burial began on July 5th, and it's expected to continue till July 11th. On Friday, his body was finally laid to rest at Ikotun Lagos, a moment that engulfed the entire atmosphere with sadness and unending weeping.

What came as a surprise was that most prominent Nigerian pastors and clergymen were absent at the burial ceremony. The reasons for such absenteeism are unknown.

A few of them are W.F Kumuyi of Deeper Life Church, Bishop David Oyedepo of Living Faith Church, Enoch Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Tunde Bakare, Paul Okotie, etc.

Their absence has stirred up mixed reactions among Nigerians, who wonder what could have caused their lack of turn up. Some described it as a lack of love in Christendom.

Contrarily, some prominent figures either attended or sent a representative. Among those present were Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu, His Royal Majesty King Willard Mswati Gomani from Malawi, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, represented by Prince Olanrewaju Elegushi, and many others.

Many of them described Joshua as a philanthropic man who preached love and practised it. Governor Akeredolu called the late televangelist "Ondo's biggest export to the world".
